FAQs
What is Young Norcross?
This is a community email sent every Friday morning to those in Historic Norcross, Ga. Each week we will share news, events, and specials from the neighbors and merchants in our town. We encourage your participation through sharing the email and through sending us ideas of what to include! *Please note - there is no actual age restriction for this community. You can be young or young at heart!
Who writes it? How did it get started?
Kristen Corley (hi!) began writing and managing Young Norcross in 2022. She moved to historic Norcross with her husband, Jonathan, and pup, Doctor, in 2016. Since then, they added one very cool son, Cooper, to the family. Kristen also works as a freelance content creator for local magazines and businesses.
Callie Murray began the newsletter in 2018. “A group text got started with the friends we were making in Norcross. After a while, I had a town hall in my backyard with the group to help us get organized. I took on writing a weekly email to keep people updated. It had become too much for a group text at that point. I started an email with probably 30 people. That was Young Norcross.”
How do I submit news and events to the newsletter?
Email youngnorcross@gmail.com with the content you wish to have included. Submissions should be 2-3 sentences max (when possible) with all necessary details included. Images are not included for the sake of the length/loading time of the newsletter.
All submissions must be received by 6p on Thursday to be included in the next morning’s newsletter. If received later, it will be included in the following week’s edition.
I avoid repeating events/information two weeks in a row. Please submit knowing that I will not share it in consecutive weeks. However, I will advertise more than once if time allows.
Are there fees associated with the newsletter?
Nope! The newsletter is free and submitting a post to be included is also completely free.
Is there anything you won’t share in the newsletter?

Business news, general service promotions, ongoing offerings, or sales pitches that are primarily promotional.
